Stingray Bar - Falls Creek

During early April this year we were staying at Bright in Victoria and decided to take a day trip into the Alpine country and visit Falls Creek. Well it was freezing when we got out of the car at Falls creek with a cold wind blowing up the valley - luckily we had plenty of warm clothing in the car. 

Of course it would be much busier at Falls Creek during the snow season and as you look around you can see where the snow lifts and ski runs are. We walked across the road to find a place to eat and found the Stingray Bar and Café to be one of the only places still serving meals at 2 pm. We ordered a beef burger for lunch with our coffee.  This was a little disappointing with the bun containing a meat pattie (very thick), piece of bacon, slice of cheese, mustard sauce and sliced pickles. Served with shoestring fries and $21 each – I guess you have to expect this sort of pricing in a tourist area.

Still I should not complain as we had no food in the car and were very hungry.
