Accolade Wines is a major global wine business with operations in North America, UK, Ireland, mainland Europe, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand and Asia. It grew from Thomas Hardy and Sons, a company founded by Thomas Hardy in 1853 in Adelaide, to become Australia's largest winemaker. In January 2011 the company was sold, along with Constellation Europe, to the Australian private equity company CHAMP Private Equity and was renamed "Accolade Wines" on 27 June 2011.© Wikipedia

We called in to the Berri Estates Winery Cellar Door while visiting the Riverland in South Australia. It is located on the old Sturt highway at Glossop, between Berri and Barmera and is apparently Australia's largest winery and distillery – a huge concern with a great tasting and sales room.
We thoroughly enjoyed talking to the staff at the cellar door who were more than happy to explain the wines during tastings and who happily showed us around the huge variety of bottles and casks for sale. Accolade Wines own vineyards all around Australia’s and New Zealand with a huge range of labels available at the cellar door - a great selection at reasonable prices. We purchased several bottles of South Australian Shiraz for our son and a variety of whites for us including a case of the clean skin sparkling chardonnay which I found to be very easy to drink.
RvTrips would highly recommend the Berri Estates Winery Cellar Door as THE place to stop for welcoming, friendly service and great wines.
