Barmera Visitor Information Centre

The Barmera Visitor Information Centre is located on Barwell Avenue in town near the main shopping area. This centre has plenty of parking available alongside the building and a great range of regional produce, souvenirs and gifts, beautiful photographic works, books and of course tourist brochures.

They have a very convenient fresh water tap out front making it easy to fill our drink bottles. The notice board outside is great for information when the centre is closed and the cafe is convenient to sit and plan you outing after gathering brochures and information from the friendly staff.

Lake Bonney is a large lake at Barmera and parts of the foreshore have swimming areas and shaded picnic spots. Barmera Caravan Park is right on the lake – a lovely looking park. The Visitor Information Centre can supply information on a range of accommodation and eating places in town as well as other points of interest in the Riverland.

Remember the Riverland is a Fruit Fly Exclusion Zone and you are asked not to bring fruit and vegetables into the area.
