Surat Cabin & Caravan Park

Surat is a lovely little country town in Queensland between St George and Roma on the Carnarvon Highway. There is a small Caravan park in the middle of town and across the road form the Balonne River. We ran into some fellow travellers who had stayed at this caravan park and they said it was very convenient.

Apparently you need to book and pay at the New Royal Hotel for sites - only two blocks away and situated on the main road.  There are a number of small cabins at the park and the grounds are neat and tidy. The Cabin and Caravan Park is within walking distance to cafes, store, Cobb & Co Museum and some beautiful historical buildings throughout the town.
