Mena Creek is a small town in northern Queensland about 22 kilometres from Innisfail along the old Bruce Highway. This town is most famous for the tourist attraction - Paronella Park built by Jose Paronella. He created a castle, tennis courts, bridges, a tunnel, and ball room, as well as creating gardens and picnic areas to take full advantage of the beauty of Mena Creek Falls.
This is a beautiful spot and well worth a visit. During our stay we walked across the swinging bridge (above the falls) form Paronella Park to the Mena Creek Hotel for diner. A lovely meal after the evening tour of Paronella Park.
