We decided to stop at the Drummond Range Lookout for lunch when travelling between Emerald and Barcaldine. The road climbs up over the hills of the range before you reach the lookout which provided us a great break from the drive.
The views are magnificent and the picnic area is well maintained. There are shaded areas to picnic tables and the car park provides plenty of space to turn the van. Keep an eye out for the sign when travelling along the Capricorn Highway.
