The Annan River (aka Yuku Baja) is a river that begins in the Yorkey Range, north-north-west of Wujal Wujal in the Wet Tropics of Far North Queensland. Being in a wet-dry tropical climate the river receives the majority of its approximately 1800 mm rainfall per year between the months of December and April, a period known as the wet season.© Wikipedia

You will drive over Little Annan River on the Mulligan Highway, between Cooktown and Mount Molloy. The rapids flow across granite boulders on one side of the bridge and slows down on the other side to deposit the sand on the banks of the river. We thought this was an amazing site and stopped to take photos. The Bridge across the river is only narrow and we were very mindful of trucks travelling along this highway.
Little Annan River is just south of Black Mountain which is another incredible display of exposed granite boulders.
