Cobbold Gorge Quartz Blowout

As we headed out of Cobbold Village we decided to take a detour down the 4WD track to check out the Quartz Blow on the property. The road is quite rough and only 4WD access is recommended, but it was definitely worthwhile to see this amazing outcrop of Quartz rock. A large area of quartz has been exposed on the top of a hill after the surrounding rock was eroded away.  

There are fabulous views of the area from the top of this hill and even better if you climb up the Quartz extrusion.
