Our first stop heading south from Mackay along the Brice Highway was a little place called Clairview – just off the main road.
There is a large caravan park called Barracrab Caravan Park which has absolute beach frontage - some sites sitting near the shoreline with great views out to sea. Lovely beach and flat sites – quite dry but lots of shade trees throughout the park. Barracrab Caravan Park has a café/restaurant/bar overlooking the water – this is rustic with friendly service. Great spot for fishing.
