Curtin Springs Roadhouse is on the Lasseter Highway as you head towards Uluru in the Northern Territory. This roadhouse is part of a large cattle station (over a million acres) and they have a created a stop for visitors with sites available for caravan or tent and some small cabins in order to stay the night.
The shop and bar are housed in a quaint stone building at the entrance and a covered outdoor eating area is located beside the kitchen. Meals and snacks are available as well as cold drinks. They have an interesting range of souvenirs including a selection of handmade paper products made from local grasses. Of course you can purchase fuel - it seemed that you had to get one of the staff in the gift shop to unlock the petrol pumps before filling up.
It was quite pleasant walking around the gardens and looking through the native bird aviaries housing a range of birds found in this area. The toilets and showers are basic but convenient and there was plenty of space to park while towing the caravan.
