The Silverton Hotel is a popular place for a meal when you visit this small historic village. They serve meals all day which suits us as we are often not ready for lunch before 2 pm (the end of the lunch trade for most other establishments). I was intrigued by the memorabilia around the place and enjoyed reading the funny sayings and poems hanging from the ceiling.
There is a covered beer garden outside and a play area for the children. If you are lucky the local donkey will pay a visit while you are at the Silverton Hotel. We took the pub challenge which was a lot of fun - all money goes to charity. The staff are friendly and helpful with loads of information about the area - more than happy to stop for a chat while you are enjoying a cold one.
