I am sure many of you have driven through Macksville as you head along the Pacific Highway from Sydney to Brisbane. Why don't you take a break from the journey and go for a walk along the Nambucca River and try morning tea or lunch at one of the old style cafes overlooking the water. There are several areas off the main road where you can park with the caravan in tow and explore this welcoming country town.
Macksville is about 59 kilometres from Coffs Harbour, just south of Nambucca Heads and gateway to the beautiful coastal community of Scotts Head. We have stopped here on several occasions and enjoyed the Golf Club, local pubs and Macksville Ex-Services Club on Cooper Street.
