Lake Burrendong State Park Camping Ground is found on the shores of Lake Burrendong - about 28 kilometres from Wellington in NSW. Turn onto Burrendong Road off the Mitchell Highway (between Wellington and Orange), then follow the signs to Lake Burrrendong. It is advisable to book during the peak season as this is a very popular spot for fishing, hiking and watersports (sailing, canoeing, waterskiing, swimming etc).
Lake Burrendong has powerd and unpowered sites as well as cabin accommodation. There is a kiosk on site for hot food, laundry facilities and the park allows you to bring pets onto your site when camping or staying in a caravan. There are two camping areas on the lake with lots of shade and grassed areas overlooking the water. An arboretum showcasing 2000 species of native plants and interesting golf course have been created in the State Park. Plenty of things to occupy your time while staying in this busy camping ground.
