We were lucky enough to spend a week at this beautiful little caravan park on Lake Macquarie. It is easy to access as you drive along the Pacific Highway through Belmont, and the park is almost surrounded by water making it a perfect spot for fishing or sailing. Lake Macquarie is large lake near Newcastle which is very popular for boating.
We were given a site close to the new amenities block which has facilities either side of a covered walkway - one side is open while the other is closed for cleaning which means you always have access to a toilet or shower. The park offers a range of waterfront powered or unpowerd sites giving visitors direct access to the lake and wonderful views. There are grass and concrete slab sites in the central part of the park and these area only a short walk to the water's edge. Make sure you let them know the size of your caravan, camper trailer, tent or motor home as some sites a a little difficult to access - you will be allocated the best site for your rig. They were happy for us to walk around and check sites before booking in.
Belmont Pines Lakeside Holiday Park has a range of villas, bungalows and cabins - some with lake frontage and some close to the pool, barbeque and picnic areas (note that the swimming pool is closed during winter) The park has a lovely camp kitchen built on a high point in the park to allow for views over Lake Macquarie - lovely, especially at sunset. The Park is close to shops and beaches and is pet friendly - conditions apply so check with management.
We enjoyed staying at this neat and tidy park in Belmont.
