Bathurst Visitor Information Centre is located on the Great Western Highway opposite the Showground. This is a great building with displays on the history of the area (including a Cobb and Co coach), the famous Mount Panorama Racing Track, local produce and, of course, plenty of brochures and maps. Bathurst is about 200 kilometres west of Sydney on the central tablelands and has the honour of being the first inland settlement in NSW.
The Bathurst Visitor Information Centre has plenty of parking available for caravans and clean toilets (if required). It is a great place to stop and I never tire of looking at the merchandise on display.
Situated beside the information centre is a lovely cafe called Absolutely Delicious, where you can enjoy coffee, cake or lunch.
