The BIG4 Casltelmaine Gardens Holiday Park can be found next to the Castlemaine Botanical Gardens and we felt very privilaged to receive a lovely welcome from Claire and her staff when we called into this very welcome park in Victoria. In fact we booked in for two nights and ended up staying for five.
Castlemaine is only a short drive from Melbourne and a convenient location to spend a weekend or enjoy a holiday with the family - lots to explore in the goldfield region. The cabins in this caravan park are fairly standard but, not the other features of this beautiful spot in the middle of Victoria - between Bendigo and Ballarat. Check out 'The Hut', Games Room and Family Bathroom - amazing transformations of old buildings.
These cabins are very similar to the Silver cabins on offer at the BIG 4 Castlemaine Gardens Holiday Park but have a slightly newer and brighter colour scheme throughout.
The unit photographed has a separate heater and air-conditioning unit which allows guests to cater for all seasons. This cabin is in a central location of the park and close to the jumping pillow, The Hut (with open fire at night), children's Games Room, jumping pillow and park amenities. BIG4 Castlemaine Gardens Holiday Park is within walking distance to a lovely hotel, brewery, cafe and shopping outlets.
This Gold Cabin sleeps five people and is suitable for a family or two couples travelling together. There is a double bed in the living room and a tri-bunk in the bedroom - this is a double bed with a single bunk above. The living space has a couch and dining table plus small kitchen which runs along one wall, equipped with cooking facilities, fridge and an ample supply of crockery, cutlery, glasses and cups. You will find a TV and DVD player in this open space - just in case you want a night in. I understand that linen is provided for the bed in the main room and additional bedding can be hired for other guests.
The bathroom features a shower, toilet and vanity - very clean and tidy.
These cabins are small but comfortable with space to park the car directly alongside for easy access.
