Brand new luxury three-bedroom and two-bathroom cabins that sleep up to eight. The main bedroom has a queen bed with television and an ensuite, the second bedroom has a queen bed with a television, and the third bedroom has two sets sets of bunk beds. There is a fully equipped kitchen with a twin electric hotplate, microwave, full size fridge and dishwasher. The living room has a six seater couch, bar stools at the kitchen bench and dining table. It offers a verandah with a private barbecue and an outdoor setting.
The Bluegum Cabin is a large three bedroom family cabin in the BIG4 Ballarat Windmill Holiday Park with two bathroom and a private barbeque on the porch. Once again I noticed the lovely timber name plate hanging on the front wall - clearly identifying this cabin to arriving guests and/or visitors.
The Bluegum is suitable for two couples or two small families as there are queen beds in two of the bedrooms plus 2 x double bunks in the third. The main bedroom has an ensuite and sits at the front of the cabin. It has a wardrobe and bedside tables holding reading lamps. A large window at the front of the room, and a high window above the wardrobe is a bonus, supplying plenty of natural light.The other two bedrooms are located at the rear of the cabin – one with a queen bed, TV, fan, bedside shelves holding lamps, bench with drawers, mirror and a wardrobe. The other bedroom has 2 x double bunks at right angles to each other. Once again the top bunk can be attached to the wall when not in use and can be configured to have 2, 3 or 4 beds available depending on requirements. The room has a deep, narrow wardrobe and window for natural light. It is located away from the living room which is great for little ones going to bed early.
The kitchen in the Blue Gum is a good size with an L-shape bench and 2 stools for extra seating. Sitting on the bench is a coffee pod machine with 4 pods provided for guests - enjoy a nice cup of coffee on arrival. It has the added feature of a dishwasher and underneath the sink you will find detergent. This kitchen has a two burner cooktop and microwave. There is a sandwich press in the cupboard and a good supply of cups, plates and glasses.
The living room is large with a huge corner lounge and a large TV sits in an angled unit with bookshelves above and below. The dining table is round with 6 chairs but you will find extra chairs along the wall and in the main bedroom - once again the added touch of fresh greenery in a vase. This room also houses an air conditioner and ceiling fan.
I found the deck to be a really good, a comfortable space with bright orange chairs around a glass outdoor table. The hooded barbeque sits at one end of the deck, and once again stainless steel rails have been added for safety. A large car parking space is provided beside the cabin, and a sealed path leads from the road to the front steps.
