The spa cottage is perfect for a family or two couples to share. Popular, spacious and very comfortable with a generous living area that has a sofa and two lounge chairs. Modern conveniences, such as a dishwasher and microwave complement the full range of cooking facilities. The bathroom provides a shower, bath with spa, washing machine and vanity while a separate toilet offers privacy. The main bedroom has a king bed and television, and the second bedroom has two single beds. All bedding is provided including towels. With two televisions, DVD player, reverse cycle air-conditioning and free in-house movies, the spa cottage provides all the home away from home comforts.
The Two bedroom Spa Cottage (No. 112) featured in the photographs provides lovely family accommodation in the BIG4 Ballarat Goldfields Holiday Park. This particular example of the spa cottage is conveniently located next to the jumping pillow, half tennis court and basketball ring – a great spot for the sports enthusiast. In fact, the deck overlooks the jumping pillow and has a rectangle wooden table with matching bench seats - a great spot to watch the kids. The light switch to the old style wall lamp on the outside of the cottage is alongside the steps leading to the deck - very convenient when arriving back after dark.
A sliding glass door leads into the living areas of this cabin with a large corner lounge, TV and round coffee table in the front section of the room. This living room has an air-conditioner plenty of natural light with racked ceilings featuring exposed timber beams.
Behind the lounge is the dining table and across from this is the kitchen space. Stools placed at the front of the kitchen bench for extra seating, and once again three matching canisters containing tea, coffee and sugar. The kitchen has a Fisher and Paykel 'dishdrawer' (with powder supplied under the sink), an upright stove and fridge – a narrow cupboard beside the fridge houses a broom, ironing board etc. Again a recycling bin has been supplied in the cupboard to keep rubbish separated - I try to recycle whenever possible so I like this additional container to help the process. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you need for meal preparation.
There is a separate toilet and large bathroom in the spa cottage with, of course, a spa bath at one end of the room. The shower has one of those small bath bases and a molded enclosure. For the convenience of families staying in this cottage a washing machine has been supplied and sits in a cavity in the bathroom.
The Main bedroom has a queen size bed, light coloured furniture consisting of bed side cupboards, bench with drawers, hanging space, shelves, mirror and TV. A luggage rack is supplied and can be found in the wardrobe. A lovely feature of this bedroom is a very nice print hanging on the wall above the bed. The second bedroom has two beautifully presented single beds with a wardrobe sitting between them, below the window.
In the garden beside this cabin are two very interesting seats, created from old tree stumps – quite clever.
